FEBRUARY IS WHEN THE WORK REALLY KICKS IN AND HOLIDAYS ARE BUT A DISTANT MEMORY, LIVERPOOL KILLED ME IN JANUARY AND I’M STILL RECOVERING…
MOVIES & TV
I blasted through Billions season 1 and yeah I love that shit though a lot of the chatting about stocks and insider trading goes way over my head, and Damien Lewis is a Liverpool fan too.
I am also re-watching one of my favourite comedies of all time in Seinfeld and its still as awesome as I remember it. I very rarely laugh at comedies, but this still makes me laugh. The episode were george gets a massage from some hunky dude is an all time classic “It moved”
Finally, I watched Doctor Strange, took me ages to get used to Benedict’s American accent but yes its good, though they made zero attempt to make a compelling villain, really? Is it that hard? Given me a call Marvel and i’ll sort that shit right out for you.
I did try to once again read 1984 but my mind wonders around too much with books as my attention span is getting worse, instead I have been reading some vintage X-Men and the classic Claremont/Byrne story The Dark Phoenix Sage. its bloody boss to be fair, simpler times.
As usual I just mainly listen to playlists these days while I’m working and I’m in a soundtrack zone. I’m loving the soundtrack to The Girl With All The Gifts, its a great little ‘zombie’ film too. I tried the new The XX album and I guess thats going to be a grower.
