I DESIGNED A FULL BRANDING & WEB DESIGN PACKAGE FOR A BRITISH RAN START-UP IN HONG KONG CALLED MR ENGLISH LTD.
Mr English Ltd reached out to me as they were looking for a Freelance Branding Specialist to take care of their Brand Identity Design and Website Design and had been referred to me by an old client. I took full control of the Brand Identity Design and created a beautiful Mobile Friendly Website in WordPress.
I took full control of the Brand Identity & Logo Design of Mr English Ltd creating various options for the logo design, I experimented with hand written fonts, urban fonts and then just settled on a real simple font and experimented with losing the letter L and replacing it with various graphic elements, the client wanted a hat in the design and while I was not keen on that idea at all I did the best I could to create a design that could easily translate across all forms of media. So while I am not a huge fan of the logo design it definitely could have gone a certain way that would look really bloody rubbish so I did a decent job of reigning in the clients potentially tacky ideas.
Logo was then incorporated into business cards & letterheads and again, the client had some potentially rubbish ideas that I again had to reign in. As always I designed multiple options for the cards & letterheads and settled on the designs you see here. Not the greatest designs you will ever see but it got to a point where the job was on the verge of being the type of job I couldn’t put on my portfolio.
We created the Mr English site as a responsive website in WordPress so the client can easily edit the website themselves as well as make blog posts (which they never do, they really should) . To be honest I was given full creative control to create a nice, clean yet visually appealing mobile friendly website that would look better than their competition (not hard at all tbf) and create trustworthiness as they are a new company on an increasingly crowded and competitive industry in Hong Kong.

Client was delighted with the final branding and web design project and while I am still not a fan of the logo they selected I made the best of what I could to reign in the tackiness, and it looks pretty good in context with the website and stationery.
